CAPITAL: City of Lankaran.
POPULATION: 1.110.000.
AREA: 10.200 square kilometers.
NEIGHBORS: South - Islamic Republic of Iran, North - Azerbaijan Republic, East - Caspian Sea, West - Islamic Republic of Iran
ETHNIC COMPOSITION: 85% Talish, 14% Azeris, 1% Russians.
OFFICIAL LANGUAGE: Talish Language.
FORM OF GOVERNMENT: Democratic, presidential republic with parliament and constitution.
CONSTITUTION: Has been adopted on 7 August 1993. All the deputies (217 deputies) from all the regions of the repulic have participated during the adoption.
CURRENT STATE: Occupied by the armed forces of Azerbaijan Republic and annexed to Azerbaijan.
THE PRESIDENT: Mr. Alikram Humbatov. (Chosen by Talish people, at the moment unlawfully jailed by Azerbaijani Government).
